Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders: Updates, prices, delays, release date and everything else you need to know
Americans and Canadians are still waiting to pay up for a new Switch 2. Switch 2 pre-orders remain indefinitely delayed in the U.S. and Canada right now, after Nintendo previous announced an April 9 pre-order date and promptly walked that back in response to tariffs announced by President Donald Trump. <br /> According a statement Nintendo provided to Engadget: "Pre-orders for Nintendo Switch 2 in the U.S. will not start April 9, 2025 in order to assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions. Nintendo will update timing at a later date.
