It's official. The Switch 2 is getting the next entry in the long-running Fire Emblem series. Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave will be available sometime in 2026, though we have nothing more specific than that.<br /> We do have a trailer and it looks gorgeous. It showed off the game's tactical combat, which is a mainstay for the franchise, and teased the story. It involves some sort of gladiator-like contest called the Heroic Games. There are plenty of new combat units and many of them boast gladiatorial flair of some kind.<br /> <br /> It also looks to take place in the same universe as the immensely popular Fire Emblem: Three Houses, which came out for the original Switch console.
