Like untold millions of smartphone users, I have a bit of a problem. I’ve been trying, with middling success, to be more mindful about how I use my phone. I’ll often uninstall various social media apps (but reinstall them later), and I’ve disconnected all my work tools unless I’m traveling specifically for the job. I don’t play games without intention or doomscroll very much. But I still find myself mindlessly reaching for it when there’s a moment to fill, and I don’t love that habit.
